The 5th Baltic Economic Conference took place on June 19-20, 2023 at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Latvia. The Baltic Economic Conference was organized by the Baltic Economic Association, in cooperation with Latvijas Banka and the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.

Keynote Speaker: Beata Javorcik (EBRD and University of Oxford)
Beata Javorcik is Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. She is on leave from the University of Oxford, where she is the first woman to hold a Statutory Professorship in Economics. She is also a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford and the Director of the International Trade Programme at the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London.
The BEA prize is awarded to the best paper presented by a PhD student.
